SONG from 'Sonrisas y lágrimas'

I like this video a lot! It's an adaptation of a song from a very old and famous film called 'The Sound of Music', in Spanish, 'Sonrisas y lágrimas'. Of course, these are not the real words they sang, it is only an ironic adaptation for this time of COVID-19.

NURSERY RHYME FOR THE LITTLE ONES

Teacher Rosa wants to share this song with the little ones. This is a Nursery Rhyme called Ring o' Roses. Nursery Rhymes are short songs or poems for children. This one is surprisingly 'in fashion' now because some people say it is connected with old plagues in Europe, like COVID-19, but these took place in fourteenth and seventeenth centuries. So when the Nursery Rhyme says 'roses', it refers to the blotches on the skin, the word 'posies' refers to the flowers people used to ward off the plague, and when they say 'we all fall down', it means that a lot of people died. And of course, ATISHOO is the sound of sneezing...

So listen, songs for little children are very interesting too!!
